Jolly ‘Jungle Book’ Jaunt
We went to see ‘The Jungle Book’, at The Castle Theatre. It was really good and all of us enjoyed it. My favourite character was Shere Khan, the tiger, mainly because his hair looked like it had just been struck by lightning. The songs and choreography were great too. My favourite part was when Shere Khan said to his assistant, a jackal, “Heads or Tails?” His assistant said, “Tails,” so Shere Khan kicked him in the bottom! In the interval I had a lovely vanilla ice cream. The main character was a boy called Mowgli. When he first swung in on a rope, I thought it was Tarzan! The costumes were really funny and cool, but I thought the best one was Balloo the Bear; he had a big furry costume on and was made to look extremely fat (they really succeeded in that!). I would recommend this pantomime for 8 to 12 year olds.
