Introduction

Design Technology at Wellingborough Preparatory School is a subject that allows pupils to be creative, encouraging the development of new skills and knowledge through practical activities. As a pupil of the school you embark upon a series of projects from year 4 through to year 8 using a wide variety of materials and processes. With the guidance of specialist teachers, working in small groups, pupils design and make products following a formal design process.  Studying in the exciting and vibrant environment of the Gent Centre at Wellingborough School, pupils from the Prep School work in the same well-resourced specialist facility as used by the Senior School examination groups.
