Wellingborough School

Wellingborough School works hard to maintain links with its alumni and its former parents. Their continued involvement with the ongoing development of the School is a feature which sets Wellingborough apart from many of its competitors.

Working closely with the Old Wellingburian Club and the newly formed Former Parents Association, various events and dinners are held in Wellingborough, London and other parts of the country.

The Old Wellingburian Club, founded in 1897, has a membership of over 2750 former pupils. Club Members meet formerly twice a year, first at the London Dinner in March and latter in the Victorian splendour of the Senior School Hall back in Wellingborough. A variety of sporting fixtures also take place throughout the year, culminating in OW cricket fixtures against the School on Open Day in July.

In 2009 an informal Christmas Drinks evening was added to the calendar. Designed to attract a ‘younger’ cohort, this highly successful event is sponsored by the School and hosted by the Headmaster in the relaxed surroundings of Covent Garden.

Twice yearly the Club publishes the OW Magazine which is also available in pdf format. Further news of OWs can be found in the School’s Wellingburian Magazine which is published annually in October.

The Alumni Database is managed by Debbie Whittemore in the Wellingborough School Foundation. To update your records or to provide information for publication please contact Debbie at: dw@wellingboroughschool.org
