Wellingborough School

Tax Efficient Ways of Giving

Giving to Wellingborough School can take several forms, all of which may utilise the tax rules to increase the amount received by the School and/or provide the donor with a tax rebate. The information given below is only intended as a general guide. Donors should always discuss their particular case with a financial adviser, particularly where substantial sums are involved.

How to Donate

Gifts from UK Residents and UK Taxpayers
We can increase the value of your gift if you are a UK Taxpayer through the Gift Aid Scheme. This currently allows us to claim 25% of the value of your gift from the Inland Revenue. Between April 2008 and April 2011 the Government will pay an additional 3p on every £1 you give. This transitional relief does not effect your personal tax position.

  • By cash or cheque – please enclose this with the Gift Aid Form making cheques payable to Wellingborough School.
  • By Direct Debit – please download and complete the Direct Debit Form and return it to us with a Gift Aid Form.
  • By Standing Order – please download and complete the Standing Order Form and return it to us with a Gift Aid Form.
  • To Donate Online – please use the button below.

Giving from the USA
If you are a UK taxpayer and you possess a UK bank account, please make your donation as per UK residents. If you are a non UK taxpayer, please click here to contact the Wellingborough School Foundation for advice on how to make a tax deductable donation.

Gifts from the Rest of the World
Unfortunately current UK tax legislation does not provide for tax deductions or relief of taxation for donors who pay tax in countries other than the UK and USA.
