2017 Careers Convention
The School's 2017 Careers Convention on Tuesday evening was absolutely buzzing with many of its sixth formers, Year 11 students and their parents taking advantage of the 90+ plus stands that were available to them for advice on careers in occupations as diverse as the professions, the environmental sciences, surveying, engineering, marketing, teaching, train driving, conference management, photography, the armed forces, the police service, digital technology and others. A number of University representatives were also present to offer advice about courses and their institutions.
Head of Careers, Mrs Jo Matthews, was delighted by the depth of willing responses she had received from local businesses, past and current parents and Old Wellingburians to support her in staging this invaluable exercise for our youngsters. The throng was added to by invited visitors from nearby Wrenn Academy and Wollaston School.
