'The Unexpected Mathematics of Juggling'

'The Unexpected Mathematics of Juggling', a lecture by Colin Wright at the Open University in Milton Keynes.

Our Lower Sixth Mathematicians attended a lecture on Tuesday 5th December. The lecture was primarily focused on juggling, something that has fascinated people for centuries. Colin Wright demonstrated a selection of patterns and skills of juggling while at the same time developing a simple method of describing and annotating a class of juggling patterns. His incredible sense of humour and comic timing allowed the students to remain fully engaged throughout. It is fair to say that he has single-handedly (or double) inspired our young Mathematicians.
