Our aim is to give pre-prep children a broad-based, positive and happy start to their education, and then to send them on to the Preparatory School with a strong academic grounding and a clear understanding of what is right.
We strive to give pupils the confidence to discover, enjoy and exploit their talents and qualities. Through this same confidence, we teach them to recognise and work on their weaknesses both academically and in the difficult process of growing up. We consider this confidence to be essential in developing independence.
The school is firmly wedded to the principle of co-education. We believe that children should grow up and learn together, and we aim to equip them to live and work with people from different social, cultural and intellectual backgrounds. Equality of opportunity for all is fundamental to our aim as a school.
We seek to encourage parents to share in our aims, participate in the life of the school, and work with us as partners in education and nurturing.
A spirit of friendship and consideration for others is at the heart of our school and we endeavour to help children extend this spirit to the wider community.
At the roots of our school is a dedicated, enthusiastic and experienced team of teachers, nursery nurses, teaching assistants and support staff. They all work hard to support, nourish and achieve our aims.
