Life after Wellingborough

Upon leaving the Sixth Form, our students can take many routes: into higher education, into apprenticeships and into work. During their time in the Sixth Form, we will ensure they make informed choices about their futures through advice from our Careers Department, talks from external speakers, visits to universities and careers and apprenticeships fairs.

The vast majority of students choose to apply for Higher Education, for either immediate entry or following a Foundation course or a Gap Year; however, for some, this may not be the right route and they may opt to head straight into a career. The School aims to cater for all the different routes students may wish to take, and, most essentially, ensure they have the necessary information they require to make the right choice for them.

Higher Education

Each form group is assigned a UCAS tutor who oversees the application process with their tutees. The process begins with a UCAS evening for parents and pupils and is followed up a dedicated UCAS day where students can take advice from a variety of universities and begin the online application process.
