Wellingborough School takes very seriously the fostering and encouragement of a spirit of generosity and responsible citizenship among its pupils, and so every child is engaged in some charitable initiative, from the Pre-Prep to the Sixth Form.
The Pre-Prep always has at least two charities benefiting from its enthusiastic support every year.
In the Prep School pupils vote each academic year to support a charity and work hard to raise funds via staged events at School.
The Senior School pupils elect a local charity for their support every year, and each House has a range of charitable ventures proposed and undertaken by staff and pupils alike.
The School Council supports Red Nose Day, as well as supporting Macmillan Cancer Care with the World’s Biggest Coffee Morning and Macmillan Golf Day. Charities that the school have fundraised for in recent year include British Heart Foundation, Cransley Hospice, the Maruva Trust, the Zvandiri Programme, the Emmanuel Children’s Home and the Claire Rowland Fund.
