Club News: Jaguars
What a busy start to the year for Team Jaguars! Our Year 6 leaders are already working hard to look after the club. Ruby, our new Club Captain, led her first Club Kahoot quiz, which she had created over the summer holidays. It was all about the Paris Olympics. Great fun was had by the younger children and for a few it was their first time competing a Kahoot quiz. Mr Richardson and I also took part – no pressure.
On Friday, our four Year 6 pupils met for their first club duties where they collected in all the Club cards, counted the pluses, chose some fabulous new funny stickers and sorted them into number order while listening to their favourite songs. I am so proud of their commitment to the club.
We have also welcomed our youngest cubs to a Club meeting. Years 1 and 2 joined us, along with Mrs Gillard. They were given their orange ID badges and joined their new teams within the Club.
Our four teams are named after locations where Jaguars live in the wild; Amazon, Texas, Guatemala and Brazil. Over the next few weeks many friendships will be made. I know that the younger Jaguars will then enjoy it when the “big” Year 6 Jaguars come down to play as part of the buddy scheme.
Mrs Whitaker, Head of Geography (Prep) and Club President (Jaguars)
