Volunteering

At Wellingborough School we operate with a community ethos at our core. Many of our staff and students make significant contributions to the wider life of the surrounding area. We are always looking for new ways to engage with the community and enhance the provision for our young people. Welcoming volunteers is a vital part of our integrated community vision.

Pupils already benefit from the time and commitment of volunteers in areas such as the Combined Cadet Force (CCF) and the Duke of Edinburgh (DofE) Award. However, we are now opening this opportunity to the Whole School Co-curriculum.

We are delighted that parents and members of the local community have an interest in the learning and development of our pupils. Many of whom have skills, experience and knowledge in a range of sports, music, drama, CCF, DofE and other areas of the Co-curriculum.

The Co-curricular offering that has been pivotal in the development of our young people, remains mainly unchanged across the years. This means that the invaluable understanding, further enhanced by life experience, possessed by our Old Wellingburians also has enormous value to current pupils.

Volunteering is also an opportunity to learn new skills, gain qualifications, and build key relationships within the wider community. All volunteers are DBS checked by the school and will receive training in their area of interest. Whether you are a professional musician, or someone who just wants to provide touchline support, we are interested in hearing from you.

If you are the kind of person who wants to support the development of children, work as part of a diverse team of volunteers and staff, and be part of the shared educational experience at Wellingborough School, then I’d encourage you to complete the form below.
