On Thursday the children went to see Carl from Estates and learned how to place flowering plants into their welly planters. As you can see from the photographs the children were enthralled by all there is to see in the Estates compound, the blue tractor was a favourite! Carl had set up planting stations and demonstrated how to ‘plant a welly.’ Carl even showed the children where a robin family have chosen to make their nest this year – everyone was very quiet at this point.

Thank you to Mrs Petrie who came to help us with the planting. As we walked back with the planted wellies safely placed in a wheelbarrow, one child asked Carl, “Are you Percy the Park Keeper?”
