Wellingborough School students celebrate A level successes
Wellingborough School’s outgoing A level students have achieved a set of excellent results. The pass rate of above 99%, and A*-A making up over 40% of the grades, represent superb outcomes for the 2023 Leavers. They leave us to take up opportunities stretching from St Andrew’s to Exeter, Norwich to California, with courses that range from Agribusiness to Theoretical Physics via Criminology, Economics, Fashion Marketing, History, Illustration, Medicine, Politics and Stonemasonry.
Headmaster Andrew Holman praised the achievements of the students, stating,
“We are so proud of our Year 13 Leavers and all that they have achieved academically, in addition to everything else they have given to the School. Despite the nationwide shift to 2019 grading standards, our students have made impressive strides. This achievement underscores the dedication and adaptability of our students, allied with the commitment of their teachers and support staff – and not forgetting their parents – leading to outcomes which allow the students to follow their dreams; the look of joy this morning as they received their results makes everyone’s efforts worthwhile. These young people are ready to take the next step into the world, full of talent and confidence, and we eagerly anticipate the bright futures that lie ahead for every one of them.”
