Wellingborough School students celebrate A level successes
Wellingborough School has once again produced excellent results at A level and the pass rate of 100%, along with 25% of grades at A*, represent incredible outcomes for our students. They leave us to take up opportunities stretching from Newcastle to Exeter, Norwich to Aberystwyth, with courses that range from Accounting to Yacht Design via Dance, Electrical Engineering, Fashion, Medicine, Politics and Real Estate.
Headmaster Andrew Holman praised the achievements of the students, stating,
“We are so proud of our Year 13 Leavers and all that they have achieved academically, in addition to everything else they have given to the School. In circumstances that no other students have ever faced, these young people saw their GCSE exams cancelled just a few weeks before they were due to take them, and have spent the past two years overcoming not only the challenges of A level study but also everything that the pandemic has thrown at them. Their own application and dedication, allied with the commitment and skill of their teachers – and not forgetting the support of their parents – has led to outcomes which allow the students to follow their dreams; the look of joy this morning as they received their results makes everyone’s efforts worthwhile. These young people are ready to take the next step into the world, full of talent and confidence, and we wish them every success.”
