Year 12 Gala Dinner

Incredible! It is not often that I use such a strong adjective, but last week’s Gala Dinner event impressed me so much that incredible was what came to mind. Our Year 12 students could not have made me any prouder, the hard work put in by all in organising, co-ordinating, and communicating ensured that the event worked seamlessly. 

 

 

The Chef Team led by Sam and Caitlyn produced a delicious meal and the Front of House and Waitering Team made sure we were all well looked after. The Charity Team worked the floor to sell huge amounts of raffle tickets to raise over £1200 and Henry was a natural in announcing the prizes.

 

 

Last but by no means least was the outstanding performance of the music ensemble, they set the ambience showcasing the highly talented Year 12 musicians. I will remember the final piece for many years to come that of Fleetwood Mac’s The Chain, for those who don’t know the music it is the piece synonymous with Formula one racing (about 3 mins 30 sec into the track). Well done all, this will take some beating!
